Wish List
Our wish lists are similar to the wish
lists of all shelters. Anything donated to Animals for Awareness that
cannot be used will be donated to another shelter. If you don't help
out AFA, then please help out another shelter. The animals are counting
on you.
 To
donate items, please call us first at 708-361-9330. Arrangements will
be made to either pick up the item(s) or have them dropped off at our
animal clinic in Palos Hills.
If you wish to order online, we have a
wishlist set up directly at Sanctuary
Supplies. Orders can be shipped directly to AFA.
Grocery Store Items
- Fresh Veggies and Fruit - (Greens [no iceberg lettuce, please!],
corn, carrots, tomatoes, apples, oranges, bananas[!!!], pears, melons,
grapes, etc. Between our two facilities, our animals consume over 20
lbs of fruit daily!)
- Canned Mixed Vegetables - No salt added (mixed peas/carrots preferred)
- Canned Fruit Cocktail - in light syrup or pear juice

* We NEVER EVER feed any type
of "give-up" pet to another animal here. However, most snakes have
strict diets. Snakes need sheltering too. What kind of shelter would we
be if we couldn't or wouldn't properly care for the snakes too just
because of our own dietary beliefs? Most of our exotic carnivores also
have meat or one kind or another added to their routine manufactured
diet. We believe this keeps them healthier AND happier.
