Shrek

Cusimanse (Dwarf Mongoose)

Look at that long nose and those sharp claws. They use their claws and snouts for digging in leaf litter, under rotted trees and stones for insects, small reptiles and larvae. They'll also wade in to shallow streams looking for freshwater crabs. Shrek was captive born and an owner give up in 2005, but wild Cusimanses can be found in the swamplands and forests of central and western Africa, and in the countries of Ghana, Ivory Coast, Liberia, and Sierra Leone. Shrek is very vocal and sounds like a squeaky wheel. Participants are allowed to pet his coarse fur, but only AFA handlers may handle him. He's a truly unique animal and a cutie pie to boot.
