Exotics Defined:

We typically define exotic animals as those animals not found for sale in the majority of pet shops. This may include wild, dangerous, endangered and other non-domestic critters. Many of these animals require special knowledge on the part of the keeper. Housing, diet and vet care may be a problem for many exotic animal owners. Also, keepers of certain exotic animals are frequently required to have special permits or licenses.

Naturally, we aren't capable of listing all the animals that have passed through our doors, as the list continually grows! While we don't accept domestic dogs and cats into the facility from the public, we will stop traffic to chase after a stray. I've even climbed under abandoned houses to catch feral puppies! Once caught and not claimed by the owner, AFA will neuter, vaccinate and find them all good homes. We love ALL animals here, not just the exotic.

We are not currently accepting rabbits, guinea pigs, aquatic turtles, chickens, potbelly pigs, or iguanas.
