Whisper his name softly, so he doesn't hear
you. The alligator's skin looks much better on the alligator than on
a pair of boots! Boots is captive born and came to us several years
ago from Aurora Animal Control. He's about 12 years old (hatched ~
1995) and should be much bigger than he is, but he was kept illegally
in a small tub by his previous owners. He's thrived and grown under
our care. Now you can see Boots safely up close and even touch him
