Adoption Classifieds
There are just some animals that we can't take
in! It may be because we just don't have the room or facilities to take
on another exotic critter. Or it could be that the current caretaker
has agreed to hold the animal until the right home is found. We've
created this area for individuals and organizations to list animals
they have for adoption- NOT animals up for sale. This isn't a place
for breeders!!
Any inquiries you make on certain animals
will go directly to the party listing the adoption classified. DO NOT
contact us about an animal listed here. Animals for Awareness provides
this complimentary service as a way for others to find good homes for
their pets in need. Animals for Awareness takes no responsibility in
any adoptions that occur as a result of this service. We do not screen
the animals, their owners, shelters, OR potential adopters. We cannot
verify information listed. This is strictly between you and the other
party.
Contact us if you have an animal you'd like
us to help you find a home for. Animals for Awareness reserves the
right to refuse to list an animal for whatever reason.
AFA is NOT able to take in domestic cats,
dogs, iguanas, rabbits, guinea pigs, rats, or farm animals at this
time. Calls/emails regarding such animal give-ups CANNOT be returned
due to the heavy volume received.
Pictures are allowed and encouraged.

- Age
- Gender
- Whether the animal is neutered/spayed
- How long was the animal in your home?
- What is the reason for give-up
- Health/vaccination history
- Temperament (with family and strangers)
- Adoption fee
- YOUR requirements for the new home
- Your USDA # if applicable
- State you reside in
- Brief description of animal's history with you
- Expiration time of listing (ie, list for 90 days)
- Email address inquiries should be directed to.
If your animal is posted for adoption, all
inquiries will be directed to you. Please do not use our feedback page to
send animal inquiries.
